Beginner's Version!

Since I'm in the process of encouraging my daughter to start a blog, it seemed fair to do the same on this side of the world. Said daughter is 22 and has flown the nest to be with her Marine husband in Iwakuni, Japan.
Now, I can't imagine the process of one day being "home" in her native Southern California and the next (or maybe it was the next next) day being in Japan as a newlywed, but maybe reading about what's going on here at home will help.
